EMILIANO GODOY (Mexico, 1974) Industrial designer from Pratt Institute?s graduate program (New York, 2004), he also holds a BA degree in industrial design from Universidad Iberoamericana?s (Mexico City, 1997). He has received several awards and scholarships, such as a Fulbright scholarship for graduate studies (New York-Mexico City, 2002), a Bronze Leaf at the International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa, Japan, 2005), a Conduit Award (New York, 2005) and an honorable mention at Mexico?s First Design Biennial (Mexico City, 2001), as well as many academic achievement awards. His work has been featured at many fairs and shows around the world, such as the ICFF (New York, 2003, 2004 and 2005), International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa, 2005), Ambiente (Frankfurt, 2003), hOLAnDA ?03 (Amsterdam, 2003), Galeria de Arte Mexicano (Mexico City, 2005) and Galería OMR (Mexico City, 2003). He teaches sustainable design at UNAM?s Center for Industrial Design Research, as well as design and drawing classes at ITESM, both undegraduate industrial design programs in Mexico City. His work has appeared in international design publications such as ID Magazine, Dwell and Designer Magazine. With experience in furniture, products, architecture, urban furnishings, art and exhibits design; Emiliano Godoy works primarily in projects about applied sustainability.
Professional work Emiliano Godoy has worked for clients such as Saint Gobain, EHV Weidmann, Pepsico, Metrobus, Holland Chemical International (HCI), Pipeline Intergity International (PII), Pipetronix, Gamesa, Frito Lay, WESCO Distribution, the Museo de la Ciudad de México, Peñafiel and Allegro He also co-created matatena.com, a contemporary art website and was part of the development team of Puerto 82, a design research center active from 1997 until 2000.
