TRANSIT CASES: CHAIRS FROM MEXICO
Traveling exhibition

Transit cases is an exhibition about contemporary Mexican design, featuring 23 chairs from different designers, architects and artists. The show also includes a few historical chairs that serve to contextualize current design trends. The featured designers include Héctor Esrawe, Bernardo Gómez Pimienta, Óscar Hagerman, Liliana Ovalle, Cecilia León de la Barra, Marlies Gelens and Edgar Orlaineta, among others.

This exhibition was curated by Jimena Acosta and Emiliano Godoy for the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Relations. The show will travel around the world until late 2010. The installation shots below are from the first venue, the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco in Mexico City, located in the former building of the Ministry, designed by Pedro Ramírez Vazquez.
