SANGRE Sangre is an illuminated table made for the Lacoste 12.12 project in Mexico City. 40 artists, designers and celebrities were invited to produce pieces to be auctioned at a fund raising event organized by Lacoste. The glass is red. The shape of the table is a bit too simple. It looks like a utilitarian solution, someone trying to enclose something with the least amount of materials and labour. When the lights turn on, a texture appears on the glass surface. Is it the blood of a dead crocodile, escaping from its wooden coffin? Year: 2006
