NORREBRO The Norrebro is a very comfortable, lightweight, versatile chair that stacks efficiently and is simple to manufacture. Storage space is a scarce commodity, and the Norrebro responds by stacking closely, with a pile of 10 chairs being only 20cm ( 8 inches ) higher than an individual chair. The chair's frame is made from 20 and 12mm tubular steel, with only one radius for each tube. This translates to a very simple production, with one bending and one welding station being the only necessary equipment. No expensive tooling is needed, basically eliminating upfront manufacturing investment. The back legs connect to the seat and back in two points, making for a very strong, single material frame (which simplifies recycling). Year: 2003
