3D This recycled candy wrapper bag was developed for Ecoist, a brand that develops fashion accessories for the eco-minded individual made from recycled, organic, or earth-friendly materials, and are manufactured through a network of fair trade partnerships around the world. This particular bag is the result of new weaving techniques developed by Emiliano Godoy, looking for ways to develop tridimensional textures that while using Ecoist traditional materials, thus opening up new formal possibilities for the company. The scaled surface uses has more depth and creates shadow and highlights that emphasize the hand made weaving. Ecoist sources the candy wrappers and other waste-bound materials from factories that discard them due to printing defects or overruns. This piece is made from pre-consumer recycled candy wrappers, internal reinforcement of post-consumer recycled paper and 3-form plastic with a 40% pre-consumer recycled content for the bag's hardware.
